When Joseph calls for the Lord to pierce with His eye the enemies if the saints, he is doing so out of mortal weakness and frustration. He is righteous enough that he calls upon the Lord for redress rather than seeking to punish his enemies himself—that’s a step better than many men.
But those who cry transgression do it because they are the servants of sin, and are the children of disobedience themselves.
Doctrine and Covenants 121:17
That reminds me of Isaac. He is forever crying transgression against others and he is consistently guilty of the same it worse even as he cries his accusations.
I’m trying to figure out how to “show fourth afterwards and increase of love” toward Isaac considering that he already esteems me too be his enemy.
