In never really thought before of how the widespread insistence that religion should be kept out of the public square (“feel free to practice your religion but don’t do anything publicly that another person might complain about”) is the opposite of the protection for prophets and missionaries that we observe among Lamoni and his father as well as king Shule. By allowing those who were leaving to have free access to teach along the people they reach saw many people covered to the Lord who otherwise might never have heard the message of repentance.
