The promise from the Lord to Enoch that a remnant of the seed of Noah would always be had among the children of men is interesting. If so men are descendants of Noah then the promise is meaningless because the children of men are, by definition, the seed of Noah. This really opens my mind to the possibility that the Lord did not start humanity in only one location. The could have been several dispersed edenic gardens each having a man and a woman to start a culture and not mixing with others until they had multiplied and spread (if they survived to mix at all).
I certainly don’t know this to be the case but it’s important to recognize that just because we have always assumed something to be true does not mean we have accurately understood the truth. Only that which has been taught from heaven can be taken as reliably true—primarily the role and parsonage of Christ bringing about the conditions for the redemption of the children of men.
