I never before noticed the various distinctions between the many plagues. Some plagues hit everyone while others hit only the Egyptians. With the hail the Egyptians were warned and all who would heed the warning of Moses were spared by staying out of their fields. As things grew worse Pharaoh would offer more conversations before hardening his heart again. I just really appreciated exactly how destitute Egypt was after the players were all over. Because of the stubbornness of Pharaoh they likely could not actually feed themselves for a few years and could not truly wage war for several years. The mighty kingdom was a shell of it’s former glory after all this.
