What was it about the older sons of Jesse that the Lord did not choose them? The Lord looked in their hearts and chose David but I wonder why. Did he see in them an element of unfaithfulness to the Lord or was it something more mundane like timidity? Were they more susceptible to the opinions of others out was the Lord making a point to choose someone who did not look outwardly like the king that men would already choose?
And what about the evil Spirit that allocated Saul? Was it perhaps a mental illness such as depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, paranoia? Clearly it was something that soothing music could assist with.
