Timing of Ecclesiastes

When did Solomon write Ecclesiastes? It must have been later in his reign because he seems to have lost sight of life. The only wisdom I found was the first half of chapter 3 and I half suspect that people kept this book in their scriptural Canon largely because they assumed it was wise simply because Solomon wrote it.
