Year two

I never realized before that Daniel interpreting the dream of Nebuchadnezzar to place in only the second year of his captivity. It occurs to me that Nebuchadnezzar might have conceived of his great statue because if the dream Daniel had interpreted for him—seeing as Daniel had told him the golden head of the statue was Nebuchadnezzar. Also, I have long wondered why Daniel was not with his the friends in being cast into the fire for refusing to worship the statue. I am concluding that only the other three were thrown in because they are the only ones being accused and the men doing the accusing probably choose not to accuse Daniel because he was held in such high esteem by the king.
