I never noticed before what a perfect opportunity the Lord provided for the Nephites under the leadership of Mormon. He was preaching repentance during a 10-year period where they were not attacked but where they had a definite unifying purpose to keep them focused. Under comparable circumstances during the days if captain Moroni they were described as being the happiest and most prosperous time in their history. If they had repented as Mormon invited them to the neighbors of his day may have had a similar experience.
