Waiting on the Lord

I get the sense that those who wait patiently on the Lord are necessarily humble—allowing the Lord to work in His time and willing to not seek their own will by any means. In contrast, those who do not look to the Lord are naturally more willing to sell any means to achieve their own desires independent of God.
