It must have been more poignant for Christ to say that He was speaking in parables lest the people should see and understand and He should heal them in the midst of when he was physically healing so many. He was freely giving the blessing of physical healing while confining the blessing of healing spiritual maladies to those who were prepared to hear and understand.
