Lehi’s foundation

I don’t think we often consider how unusual it was that Lehi had the foundation to be able to establish a separate people who could keep the commandments. Having the sacred records on the brass plates would have been useless without the education to read them. Thus a less educated man, no matter how righteous his intent, could not have performed the mission that Lehi was called to.
