Alma’s desire to speak with the trump of an angel was not an unrighteous desire. In fact, it was a perfectly natural desire for a righteous person—the Christlike desire to reach all the children of God with the message of salvation. But, life any righteous man it was important that Alma remember that the Lord is the master of the work and He directs the work for optimal results.
