The story of Cornelius

I have heard the story of Cornelius many times and thought that Peter was taught that the history should go to the gentiles as well. Of course that is true but I passed over the fact that there were several other Christian Jews in the house with Peter when the Holy Ghost what manifest in the gentiles there assembled. Peter alone was forewarned by virtue of the vision of (not so) unclean beasts but he was not alone in witnessing the apartment significance of that vision. When word came to their brethren at Jerusalem they did not have to rely upon Peter’s word alone regarding this apparent change in policy.
