We face divisions, unrest, and distrust in our nation not unlike the ones the Nephites had between the king-men and the free-men. While I expect we can still avoid open bloodshed I could easily imagine right wing extremists refusing to defend against or even supporting an invading force. I can’t imagine a foreign nation trying to invade but I could see drug cartels from Mexico crossing the border. That would be a highly ironic force for our supposed “conservatives” to tacitly support.
