The Teachings of Jesus Christ

We are given the scriptures to direct our lives.

This is so cool to simply hear words of Christ strung together into one cohesive doctrinal recitation.

The words of Christ to the Nephites serve as a fitting conclusion to the message of Christ during his ministry in the holy land (both before and after His death and resurrection).

The funny thing about the teachings of Christ is how they are mostly anything but unexpected. He teaches people to simply follow their better instincts and encourage them to do better than their baser instincts. The only revolutionary part—the part that sets Him apart from other moral teachers—is His offer to cleanse men from sin if they put their faith in Him. That is a promise those nobody else should date to make and that only He has capacity to deliver on.
