Entering into rest

It is rare to have someone truly “safely gathered in” before the last stages of their life like the people of Ammon were. Even when we have had testimony and confirmation life happens and we can be shaken or lose our grasp of the iron rod either permanently or temporarily. The funny thing is that we can’t predict who will be shaken based on looking at their experiences.

I have been shaken as much as almost anyone I know of and feel confident that I will never be more shaken than I have already been and yet I never lost my grip even if my grasp was sometimes tenuous. In saying that, I acknowledge that even after ensuring what I have and even without being shaken more it is possible for me to yet lose my grasp if I am not careful. Enduring to the end does not mean enduring until it is too hard, nor does it mean coasting once the pressure is off.
