Just before I finished the commute home from work I got a call from Newport Academy saying that insurance has approved Isaac for 2 weeks of residential treatment. (Their standard is to approve 2 weeks and reevaluate every 2 weeks for further approval until they determine that he’s ready for a lower level of treatment.) We will hopefully hear tomorrow about whether/when they will have a bed available for him.
I hope, for his sake, that he doesn’t need to stay there too long. 4 weeks would put him at Christmas. I want him to get the care he needs but it would be nice for him if that took less time rather than more. I’d like him to get back to where he can function outside of a residential environment.
