How old was Joseph?

I’ve always known that Joseph was the youngest brother of Nephi but despite Lehi noting his youth it’s hard to tell his age. It had been between 8 and 30 years since they left Jerusalem so Joseph could have been as old as 28 (in theory). We know that Joseph had been born by the time they sailed for the promised land which was at least 8 years after they left and almost certainly not more than 10 years but he was probably an infant or toddler at that time. We don’t have any dates between the 8 and 30 year marks but Lehi must have died well before the 30 year mark so I would imagine that this was spoken no later than the 20 year mark which means that Joseph was almost certainly no older than 14. Based on the tone of this counsel I would imagine he was several years younger than that—maybe in the 6 to 10 range.
