Surrogate parent

Alex informed me that Ezra played a game we have forbidden on Alex’s VR. When I told Ezra that would be a problem he informed me that Enoch had been playing another game that should be equally banned. I brought up to Alex that Enoch was not allowed to play that game and he point blank told me that he figured it was fine for Enoch and would allow him to play regardless of me saying it wasn’t allowed. He then warned that there would be trouble in the house if I told Enoch that he couldn’t play VR as a result.

I wish him being so brazen about acting as if his authority is equal to mine in raising his siblings but sadly it’s not surprising.

On a more pleasant note, Savannah came down today to visit the family. She stopped for breakfast with me in Bountiful before coming to American Fork to see everyone else while school was out. We talked about working towards rebuilding the family and creating a culture of connection, especially with her and Aaron as they are living separate from the rest of us. It sounds like we all want the same thing and can patiently work together to achieve it.
