I made a point today to get out and participate in service as Sister Alvord was moving to a retirement community. I used to always participate when there was service and I used to imagine participating in service and having multiple boys tagging along with me. Maybe one day we’ll get something like that but for today I went on my own and helped along with many other good men in this ward.
Also this morning, in the temple, I realized how deliberate the Lord was in having Adam covenant to keep the law of sacrifice AND let him keep that law of sacrifice without explanation for a period of time before He taught Adam what the sacrifices were meant to represent in the plan of salvation. That isn’t to say that nothing is explained in advance but the foundation is insurance, not following only what we logically understand already.
