Mom showed me what she had in her early garden and it got me thinking that I need to start soon or I’ll lose most of my possible growing for this year again. I went looking outside for where I could set up a garden bed for swiss chard. I’m pleased with how the grass has come in over much of the area in my little corner. I also found a small plot that seems to have good dirt where I completely removed the dogwood bush last year. Later I realized that the garden area on the east side of the house might suit for some tomatoes. Just that much would be a good start to gardening.
