I saw a video about tops (as in, the little toys that you spin—yes, it’s related) which talked about how many of them behave in ways that don’t intuitively make sense such as rising up or even turning over when spun with sufficient velocity. Of course a sufficient understanding of the physics of rotational inertia can explain their actions but the point is that it’s not always intuitive to humans. Likewise all of the actions (it inactions) of the Lord are perfectly explainable if we sufficiently understand Him and His purposes but they are not always intuitive to the mortal mind. That’s what I kept thinking as I read about the human reaction of “a Bible, we have already got a Bible” in response to the Lord offering more scriptures from multiple nations and also as I think about my need to shake things up in our family even to strategically leaving the family to fail (and trying to do it strategically when needed and not just doing it wantonly out of fatigue and/or frustration which is sometimes a temptation).
