The Lord of the vineyard talks about the take olive tree and the wild olive trees but those descriptions aren’t of different species of trees not aware they arbitrary, as if he just selected a favorite tree. The good tree was the tree that brought forth good fruit. When it stopped producing good fruit he attempted to preserve it in the for that it would once again produce good fruit. He was willing to try branches from the wild trees in his of producing good fruit or presenting the roots of the tree that had previously produced good fruit. He planted the natural branches in other parts of the vineyard in hopes that some or all of them would produce good fruit.
Everything he did in the vineyard was for the purpose of producing that select fruit and he was equally pleased with good fruit whether it came from a branch that has been tame or from a branch that had been wild. The story and the effort in the vineyard revolved around the mother tree not because he was playing favorites but because history indicated that the roots and branches of that mother tree had the greatest likelihood of producing the choice fruit because they had previously produced that fruit in abundance.
