I finally got my bifocals today. Two years ago the optometrist said I could get bifocals but didn’t really need them yet. This time he said I could get bifocals but I might be able to go another year before I really needed them. I decided to just go for it and then I decided to lean into it and get the ones with lines instead of the ones that hide the line by having blurry zones on the periphery (which cost more). I figured this was my chance to accentuate my experience since my gray hairs refuse to get prominent.
I’m actually shocked at how quickly I stopped noticing the line as I wear them although I’m still getting used to when to use the lower section for up close vision.
