I had a good day at work today, making good progress on my current main project and taking care of two other small items that had come up in the last few days.
The deliberate sacrifices are that tonight Laura and I went to a family party in Midway, at David and Becca’s house, which we knew would take up the whole evening. That meant not getting 9000 steps today, and not having time for our couple scripture study or doing a general conference talk before bed (you can notice that it’s already after 11pm as I publish this). That’s not a sacrifice I would make regularly but it’s one that is worth making on rare occasions like this to maintain strong ties with the extended family.
