- Mickey’s progress
- Getting the grant to pay for the QuickBooks Pro certification was great news.
- Mickey needs to work on communication so that we can tell the difference between random strokes of luck and the fruits of sustained effort.
- If I don’t begin to see progress on getting the certification I will again begin pushing for a move out date.
- I feel confident about my actions thus far in supporting and challenging Mickey
- Laura’s job search
- Looking through the district job listings shows that it’s not going to be simple to find the kind of simple job that Laura has in mind.
- I know that she wants to ease her way into work—not commit to something that might overwhelm her.
- It might be necessary to find a volunteer position to begin with—that might put her into position to identify and land a paid position she would be comfortable with.
- What steps can I take to be most supportive of this effort?
Action Items
- Look for opportunities to praise Laura’s job search efforts, even baby steps.
- Look at the Alpine School District job board myself.
- See if Deerfield or Mountain Ridge sites say anything about volunteer opportunities that might suit Laura.
