- Processing my dream
- I came home (supposedly my home but it was Mom’s home in layout) to find the house destroyed—doorknob ripped out of the door, door frame ripped off the wall for example. As I started to creep through the house two perpetrators found me and started to attack me. I was sort of able to defend myself but I kept asking them why they were destroying the house. I never could figure out if it was targeted or random that they chose my house. Later a vehicle pulled up with more people (I think including their mother) who were part of the operation behind the destruction of my house.
- It was a vivid dream which is why I want to understand it but it didn’t have a clear meaning.
- If there was meaning I wonder if it had more to do with my response than it does with the destruction (or the destroyers) that I encountered.
- No matter how aggressive or angry they got I was never angry. I was sorrowful and I tried to protect myself but I was more interested in understanding them and their motive than in exacting justice or revenge.
- This was obviously an example of how I should respond but I wonder if it was a test again my dream reveals something about how I would actually respond now (because that is certainly not how I would have responded in the past – I would have been either cowering or seething).
