  • I need to keep my spiritual and emotional equilibrium during the next 13 weeks of campaign season (as well as the roughly 10 weeks after that until the inauguration if/when Harris wins)
    • Making sure to have a solid focus on general conference in 8 weeks may be critical in keeping me grounded.
    • I now expect to write more often, as much as 5 times a week, as I try to begin being seen as a political voice again in advance of this election. (I expect to taper off to the once or twice a week cadence after that.)
    • Combating Trumpism will take extended effort of having rational discussion rather than name-calling—regardless of who wins this race.
    • We need to rebuild a culture of having political and public policy discussions at the community level which I think we, as Latter Day Saints generally, have developed a habit of avoiding.
    • I want to make it a practice that I pray and do scripture study BEFORE I otherwise engage with worldly things such as news and politics.
