Morning is known for being a military leader but he consistently avoided bloodshed wherever possible because his aim wasn’t to punish enemies, it was to protect his people. That reminds me of Tim Walz who responded to people chanting “lock him (Trump) up” by saying it was more important to beat him handily at the ballot box. Retribution is sometimes justified but as a goal it is always inferior to preserving society.
