Alex finally succeeded in passing the test for his learners permit today. That makes our nightly test practices for the last couple of weeks worth the effort. Now we need to substitute that time with driving hours. Of course Alex learned today that he still has to have his permit for 6 months before he can get his license. (He was hoping that he could get it on his birthday in only 4 weeks since he will be eighteen.) I’m just happy that he is making progress in life including keeping up in school, getting his permit, and he’ll be starting a job later this month. Those are all good things.
