Adam’s actual choice

I’ve always looked at the voice Adam made in the garden as a choice between two commandments but I realized that it was actually larger than that. A choice between two commandments would be a coin flip, neither choice is ideal but either choice leads to keeping one of two. Adam’s choice was not so balanced. Adam’s considered his position and Eve’s. He could not keep the commandment to multiply without Eve and she no longer had the option to keep the commandment to avoid the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Between the two of them the ideal would be four right choices but Eve had eliminated one of those four and Adam had the ability to choose one for him coupled with one for Eve or to choose one for him and none for Eve. Adam chose for them to stay together and make two of the four right choices rather than splitting up having made three of the four wrong choices.

I spent a chunk of time today doing online engagement training and text banking for Harris. As a reward (coincidental timing actually) I finally received my Harris/Walz yard sign this afternoon.
