It’s hard to be patient

The votes have been cast but despite being warned repeatedly that things would be close and it would take time to call the race I’m anxious at not seeing a clear break toward Harris to end the suspense early. I remember in 2020 that I made a conscious decision to go to bed on time and allow things to play out. The biggest difference this time is that I consider Trump to be an even bigger threat now than in 2020. Despite that increased anxiety I am choosing to follow the same course and go to bed, trusting in the Lord and the voters to pull out a victory for Kamala Harris—although I accept that might not pull through by the time I wake up (just like it didn’t in 2020).
