Ordinance pairs

I’ve noticed the symmetry between the sacrament prayers before but I just connected them to other priesthood ordinances that have symmetry. The prayer on the bread has the saints witnessing that they are willing to take the name of Christ upon themselves, always remember Him, and keep His commandments. The prayer on the water or wine has them witness that they do always remember Him. This symmetry is like the symmetry in priesthood blessings of healing where a person is anointed with consecrated oil and then the amounting is sealed upon them.

This is even more pronounced in the temple initiatory ordinance where various parts of the body are symbolically washed with blessings pronounced for each and then those same parts of the body are symbolically anointed with consecrated oil with the same blessings pronounced in each. If that weren’t enough, both the washing and the anointing are sealed. (washed => washing sealed => anointed => anointing sealed)
