Having a task

I find that it is easier to focus when there is a task to focus on that is big enough to demand real attention. Small tasks can be handled quickly but they don’t demand focus. Today I found myself tracking a task that was just big enough to demand that attention but also small enough that it’s basically complete after a single day (a little bit of follow-up tomorrow and Monday) and I can get back to other tasks. I’ve seen this pattern several times that when I don’t have any real task I have a hard time getting anything done.
