You shall receive my Spirit, the Holy Ghost, even the Comforter, which shall teach you the peaceable things of the kingdom.
Doctrine & Covenants 36:2
I’d like to know what are considered “the peaceable things of the kingdom.” I know that my spirit leaps at the thought of being saturated with peaceable doctrines—things that encourage and uplift the spirit—but I wonder if the Lord has a more specific idea if what constitutes the peaceable things and I wonder if some of the things He considers peaceable are things I wouldn’t think of that way. (I’m confident that there are things I might accept as peaceable doctrines that He doesn’t consider peaceable or sometimes doesn’t even consider doctrine.)
I’ll bet that the peaceable things start with faith in Christ, repentance, and grace.
