Let all such as can obtain places for their families, and support of the church for them, not fail to go into the world, whether to the east or to the west, or to the north, or to the south.
Doctrine & Covenants 75:26,28
And again, verily I say unto you, that every man who is obliged to provide for his own family, let him provide, and he shall in nowise lose his crown; and let him labor in the church.
I never noticed this invitation before but I have always wanted to obtain a place for my family where they could be supported by the church so that I could serve without temporal concern for my family but at least so far I have fallen into the category of those who are obliged to provide for their own family.
Maybe that is for the best as I might well be better suited to laboring in the church than to going into the world.
