These are they who receive of the presence of the Son, but not of the fulness of the Father.
Doctrine & Covenants 76:77
If they can receive of the presence of the Son then they can receive of the presence of the Father because the Father and the Son are both glorified, celestial, eternal Gods. “The fullness of the Father” indicates more than proximity—I believe it indicates the fullness of the blessings of the Father or “all that the Father hath.” They can see the Father, they can be near Him, but they cannot be like Him.
These are they who receive not of his fulness in the eternal world, but of the Holy Spirit through the ministration of the terrestrial; and the terrestrial through the ministration of the celestial.
Doctrine & Coverage 76:86-87
- Those in the Celestial Kingdom live with and like God.
- Those in the Terrestrial Kingdom can abide His presence but what they receive from Him is delivered by those who enjoy Celestial glory.
- Those in the Telestial Kingdom abide the presence of the Father and the Son for their judgement but afterwords whatever they receive from God is delivered to them by those who enjoy Terrestrial glory (which was passed to them by those who enjoy Celestial glory).
They who dwell in his presence are the church of the Firstborn; and they see as they are seen, and know as they are known, having received of his fulness and of his grace; and he makes them equal in power, and in might, and in dominion.
