This is according to the oath and covenant which belongeth to the priesthood. Therefore, all those who receive the priesthood, receive this oath and covenant of my Father, which he cannot break, neither can it be moved.

I’ve heard people talk about the oath and covenant of the priesthood all my life. The Lord speaks of “the oath and covenant which belongeth to the priesthood” but try as I might I can’t find a clear oath men take when receiving the priesthood—I only clearly see promises from God for those who are faithful until obtaining both priesthoods and magnifying their callings. Perhaps that is the oath for men: be faithful to obtain these two priesthoods and magnify your calling throughout your life so that the ordinances are made available to the children of men through which the knowledge of God and the power of godliness is made manifest.
