Grateful for yesterday
- Leading Gospel Doctrine on the fly was a demonstration of “treasure up the words of life continually and it shall be given you in the very hour what ye shall speak.”
- I was not scheduled to teach but between the facts of: I’m a regular teacher there; I set up the microphone; and nobody else was apparently scheduled to teach, I got up to lead the class.
- I suspect that class members were even more willing to speak up than normal because they had no expectation that I had a lesson plan which they couldn’t guess at.
- I’m excited by the possibilities for using this new television as a tool to draw my children toward wholesome media and building and reinforcing positive memories of time together.
- I love having our family pictures displayed in a large, crisp way.
- I love being able to put on a good movie that can draw them in with the high quality display but it’s my choice, not them clamoring for what they want (since their tastes right now are largely desensitized from basically unfettered media consumption).
- I’d like to do at least 1 movie per week but possibly 2.
- On Sundays I would want to be even more selective than on other days of the week.
- I want to show a wider range of good content than just what I would show on Sundays. It’s not meant to just be spiritual or innocent content. It should include other high quality content with desirable depictions of what is right.
