Fulness of joy

Man is spirit. The elements are eternal, and spirit and element, inseparably connected, receive a fulness of joy; and when separated, man cannot receive a fulness of joy. The elements are the tabernacle of God; yea, man is the tabernacle of God, even temples.

Doctrine & Covenants 93:33-35

Fulness of joy requires both spirit and element. If we pursue pleasure or purpose with no spiritual component it does not exist. (This is why wickedness never was happiness.) It is also a fact that if we seek happiness through spiritual things while neglecting or staying disconnected temporal realities there can be no fulness of joy.

Temples (the buildings) are physical structures which were designed, built, and dedicated to the work of God. Or bodies were designed and built for the work of God but it is up to us to dedicate them to that work so that they may fill the measure of their creation.
