In darkness at noon

They who are not chosen have sinned a very grievous sin, in that they are walking in darkness at noon-day.

Doctrine & Covenants 95:6

Tô walk in darkness at noon requires a total solar eclipse (99% is not enough) or a very deliberate choice to shut out the light in all directions. Most of my family members have yet to arrive at noon but most of them are deliberately choosing to walk in darkness, separate from the light that is available to them already.

Behold, I say unto you, concerning the school in Zion, I, the Lord, am well pleased that there should be a school in Zion.

Doctrine & Covenants 97:3

I would love to attend a school of the prophets. This verse makes it clear that such a school did not have to be singular. Also, these chapters make me wonder about the contention that arose in the first school of the prophets.

Verily I say unto you, all among them who know their hearts are honest, and are broken, and their spirits contrite, and are willing to observe their covenants by sacrifice—yea, every sacrifice which I, the Lord, shall command—they are accepted of me. For I, the Lord, will cause them to bring forth as a very fruitful tree which is planted in a goodly land, by a pure stream, that yieldeth much precious fruit.

Doctrine & Covenants 97:8-9

That is who I strive to be.
