Sister Rochon, as a youth, remembered a woman who was a great example among the first generation of the saints in her country. After the woman died she wondered who would take over as that first generation passed away. As she prayed and pondered about that the answer came that she and her generation must take the lead in building and maintaining the church there. The next fast and testimony meeting she bore her testimony to comfort the older generation. She said it would be translated: “Brothers and sisters you may die if you wish. Our generation is ready to take over.”
“We need an Alma the Younger in each generation.”
President Harold B. Lee said “A testimony is a fragile thing…it is as hard to hold as a moonbeam and you have to recapture it every day of your life.”
