Ether’s theological source

Where did Ether learn the things that he taught? How did he develop such faith in such a wicked time? Unlike Moroni we don’t have any indication that Ether’s father was righteous.

I believe I have noted before that when Moroni says that the things the brother of jaded wrote were powerful that it might have been powerful because Moroni only had his own reactions to the writings of the brother of Jared as a gauge for how powerful they are and he was clearly spiritually sensitive. I haven’t noted before that it’s also possible that the language that the brother of Jared wrote in was capable of more powerful transmission of such spiritual truths than the form of Egyptian that Moroni had available.
