Notice that Moroni continued to do what he needed to do even when he didn’t receive the support that he knew he deserved. Also notice that Moroni was willing to stop and cleanse the inner vessel when he became aware of the extent of the internal issues. He was willing to censure Pahoran publicly over the problems he was suffering from (even if Pahoran proved to be the wrong target of anger).
