Prayer must be combined with action

Or prayers will have little or no effect if our actions don’t demonstrate the sincerity of our petition and our faith. One reason for this is that if our actions demonstrate a lack of conformity to the principles of righteousness then we will lack the spiritual power to know what to pray for and our prayers will thus have little effect because we will fail to bring our will into communion with the will of our Father.
