The great and abominable church

I’ve heard claims that the great and abominable church is the Catholic church but the truth is that just as the church of the lamb includes people in a variety of religious sects the great and abominable church has adherents in every religion. It operates by gravitating towards any center of power so for centuries that would have primarily been the Catholic church. That doesn’t prove of rule out the Catholic church being run by the great and abominable church at times but it is important to differentiate the two least we look at the Catholic church and ignore the great and abominable church operating outside that organization (which it very much is).
