Tempered with age

I can see the tempering that comes with age in Nephi’s closing words. With the perspective of decades on earth he had malice towards nobody but he also feels free to tell the truth even if it may offend some. Younger men tend to either be too circumspect in an effort to offend none, or else too acerbic and ready to condemn any they disagree with. With age, most people become slower to condemn although some never learn to speak the truth if it may offend others.
