Traditions

I would like to make it a tradition that the day after Thanksgiving be an event at our house where the Miller’s gather. It might expand eventually but it would be the time dedicated to my family allowing people to gather together without conflicting with the traditions of in-laws.

I would also like to make a tradition of the event that Laura and I did once in Logan where we hada gathering of close friends during the holiday season to share food, scriptures, and testimony together for an evening. That would be focused on friends or neighbors not than family and would be exclusively an event for mature participants. To do that we would need to make accommodations for the immature members of it families.

1 Peter 2:9-10 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; …

Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God.

The children of the covenant, those who have sought to seal themselves to Christ by covenants made and kept, were not an existing people who have something in common. They are people who are otherwise not particularly like each other but they have become united in the choice to accept and follow Christ.
