I never thought before that the people of Limhi had reason to hope they could succeed in war despite being outnumbered because they had beaten the attacking Lamanites soundly when they were vastly outnumbered before. Of course winning in offence and winning in defense are two different things – not least because the Lord is most likely to sustain and support those defending themselves than those who are the aggressors.
