It is ready to say that this calling to be high priests is the same as our modern office of high priest but I think that is too simple an assumption. I find it hard to believe that there is any preparatory redemption attached to all who receive that office. I could possibly believe it applying to put modern Seventies in the church. Certainly it would apply to apostles. I also believe that it isn’t actually tried to any particular Priesthood office other than holding the Melchizedek Priesthood generally. Some may achieve that preparatory redemption even before being ordained as a high priest but surely some are ordained to the office of high priest without meriting any preparatory redemption.
